By the way, the magazines are not mistaken: everyone is giving advice “to have a successful start of school”, “to not stress”, and to just be perfect.
What I see with each new school year (apart from the fact that my children are growing up too fast!) is that the more my children are independent, the less anxious they are and the more I can deal with this new school year in a completely relaxed way.
I learned to let the things take their course, and they learned to be independent.I take the time to engage them in small challenges: manage the school supplies by themselves, choose their clothes according to the weather, do their homework alone and ask for help when they need it.
Well, the result is not always perfect, but things are developing.
This is the very principle of Family Pact, to give children missions, goals and challenges, because it gives them the opportunity to prove to us that they grow up well.
So long live the start of the school year!
